Gresham’s Ongoing Efforts to Address Homelessness

Gresham has been actively working to address homelessness through a dedicated four-person team that builds trust with those in need. Over the past decade, the number of unsheltered individuals has decreased from 138 to fewer than 40. In the 2024-25 fiscal year, the team successfully housed 88 households and 156 individuals. As of October 30, 2025, they have housed 35 households and 68 individuals in the current fiscal year.

Despite these successes, the program faces potential challenges due to budget constraints. Continued community support and funding are crucial to maintain and expand these efforts.
